Jacqueline "The Foodie" Shelton graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Austin, (formally The Texas Culinary Academy), in 2006. She then went on to become an instructor in the United States Air Force, working as an enlisted aviator. She has prepared food for Hollywood celebrities, and world leaders alike.

Inspired by her initial educational pursuits, she then went on to earn multiple degrees, including a Bachelors in Psychology from Wilmington University, and a Masters in Communication from The Johns Hopkins University in 2017. These courses have provided the fundamental building blocks for understanding how people interact with food in person and through media.
